great locks

I bought a couple of these locks for the gym because there were locker break-ins there. This lock is not only pretty and easy to use, it is much more secure than my old lock. And it costs way less than I expected to pay.

Unreliable - change combination at your risk

I bought 3 from Lowes, 2 were defective. Multiple times I tried to change the combination, only to find that the actual combination that "took" was 1 digit off of what I wanted, and sometimes 2 numbers were 1 digit off. This means I had to try up to 20 different variations to get it open again! 579 became 589 or 569 or 479 or 478 etc. you get the idea. I'm the type to read the instructions. I thought it was just me, but after 3 repeats I was tired of trying combinations to get it back open. I tried different combinations, just in case having combination numbers close together was the problem, it wasn't. It is just a bad design.

Good, but don't abuse

These locks are good for light duty, but are easily damaged.
We had one that won't unlock; the combination was obvious, so I can only assume something went sideways inside the lock.
